Curriculum Overview Instructional maps are REQUIRED to be followed in Bedford County Schools These instructional maps… …are standards-based. …are NOT driven by any text or program. …have a balance of informational and fiction texts for ELA. …have some resource suggestions.
5
Lesson Plans… …are REQUIRED (Use the template).
…have been developed by our teachers. …are grade level specific. …correlate to the TEAM rubric. Lesson plan templates are available on the district website. Student objective statements should be posted and communicated daily. We will continue to revise each year, please send suggestions to Mr. Hamler.
6
Lesson Plans You may alter the format of the lesson plan, but not the content(additions are acceptable). Principals may submit an alternate lesson plan template (by grade level) to the District Instructional Team for approval.

Resources Some resources are embedded in the instructional maps. Some grade levels have shared additional resources. These will be placed on T_Apps at the school level by grade.
