Our class slot is 1:45-2:00 October 2-October 6 LLS fundraiser: Pennies for Patients October Box Top Store October 13, Miss Caldwell gone Reading Unit 2 Week 1 in McGraw Hill Wonders This unit focuses on “What can animals teach us?” Our Essential Questions is “What are some messages in animal stories?” We will identify theme as we ready using clues from the story. We will continue language arts groups for 30 minutes a day. Math: We have started chapter 3. We will be representing multiplication in a variety of ways while multiplying large and small numbers. Writing: We will focus on writing informational text. Social Studies: We will wrap up our study of Utah’s regions. Science: This week our class will continue rotating to Mrs. Gill’s classroom to learn about informational text and how it applies to science. . . Spelling/Vocabulary Spelling: unblock unborn unchain unload unlock recall relearn resell rewash rewind imperfect indirect incorrect illegal overact overheat subway premix preplan supersize Vocabulary: attracted: drew the attention of dazzling: so bright that it’s almost blinding fabric: material that is woven or knitted, such as cloth greed: a very great selfish desire to have or get something honest: truthful, fair, and trustworthy requested: asked for trudged: walked steadily and slowly soared: flew very high in the air Reminders We have started into our multiplication and division unit in math. Please practice multiplication facts with your student. This will make math easier for them.
