Chapter 11, Section 5

2 Constitutional Amendments
Propose all amendments with a 2/3 vote Amendments are not laws. They are essentially guidelines to rights.

3 Electoral Duties The House of Representatives votes for President if no candidate receives a majority of electoral votes. Each state, regardless of size, casts one vote. The House has chosen two of our presidents(Jefferson and John Quincy Adams)

4 Impeachment Impeach: to bring charges against a public official.
This is the responsibility of the House of Representatives. The Senate tries the case with the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court presiding. Two Presidents have been impeached

5 Executive Powers Senate must approve all presidential appointments with a majority vote. These positions include cabinet members, justices, ambassadors.
