About Out-of-Class Segment
I have used existing video of my topic on Diode Rectifiers and Supply Filtering for transmission of information to my students. My presentation achieve lower-order levels (Recall-Understand-Apply) I spent around 4 hour on NPTL and 2 hours on youtube to search video related my topic with having Creative Commons Attribution License (reuse allowed). My Out-of-Class activity is not too lengthy, it is equal to almost one lecture hour (28 minute 13 seconds).

Out-of-class Activity Design -1
Learning Objective(s) of Out-of-Class Activity To Understands concept of AC and DC voltage. To know about rectifier. To familiar about the AC filter. Key Concept(s) to be covered Difference between AC and DC. Uses of semiconductor diode. How capacitor used for filter .

My Video Selection Process
I have searched a lot on NPTEL Videos and NPTEL Youtube Channel but, i don't found their less then 50 minutes. I found my topic’s short video directly on youtube with having Creative Commons Attribution License (reuse allowed). My selected video having both text and audio to help in assimilation of content easier. My video length is 28 minute and 13 second so I have present it in 4 portion with split start time and end time.

Designing Assessments
I have provided 2 assignment along with the video resources. This assignment has to be at lower cognitive levels and recall and apply the concept and it is aligned to the learning objectives. I have given 1 marks to the submission of assignment on time. My aim for the evaluation of these assignment before the in-class to understand the level of students.

Out-of-class Activity Design - 3
Aligning Assessment with Learning Objective Learning Objective Assessment Strategy Expected duration Additional Instructions (if any) 1:-Know about the AC and DC voltage. 2:- To know about rectifier circuit. Q1:- What is the difference between AC and DC voltage. Q2:- Rectifier convert AC to DC true or false. 02 min. Watch V1 then answer Q1 Watch V2 then answer Q2 Expected activity duration 04 minutes.

About In-Class Segment
I have designed effective learning assignment for In-Class segment activities I ensure In active learning student goes beyond listening, copying of notes. I have execute prescribed procedures for my students should. My assignment are required to talk, write, reflect and express their thinking. My assignments engage my students in higher-order thinking to solve problems after deep analyzing-evaluating-for create solution. My assignments includes PI and TPS activities also I also ensure that students get feedback on their work.
12
In-class Activity Design -1
Learning Objective(s) of In - Class Activity Understand about rectifier. Know about the purpose of filter circuit with rectifier. Key Concept(s) to be covered Uses of semiconductor diode . Uses of capacitor as filter.
13
In-class Activity Design -2
Active Learning activity(ies) that you plan to do Real word problem solving using Think-Pair-Share Peer Instruction Explain the strategy by giving details of What Teacher will do? (Will give questions related to PI and TPS) What Student will do? (After discuss with peers and come to a solutions of question) Justify why the above is an active learning strategy My Student have to think deeply about the content and they are also familiarized in out-of-class with doing higher order thinking.
14
In-class Activity Design -2
What I (Teacher) did Peer Instruction Strategy I have pose two following Peer Instruction Strategic questions at the start of the class. Q1:- What is the function of rectifier? Q2:- Why filters should be used with rectifier?
15
In-class Activity Design -2
Peer Instruction Strategy – What Student Does Each Students will discuss with peers and come to a solutions of question. After peers instruction, students must listen to instructors explanation.
16
In-class Activity Design -2
TPS Strategy – What I (Instructor) did I have pose two following Think-Peer-Share Strategic questions after PI questions. Q 1: Draw the circuit diagram of half wave and full wave rectifier. Q 2: Explain the working of capacitor filter and compare with other filters.
17
In-class Activity Design -2
TPS Strategy – What Student Does Each Students will Think 5 minutes and discuses with Peer and Share (15 minutes) and try to solve the problem. After TPS they come to a solutions of question. After students answer students must listen to instructors explanation. Now pair up and compare your answers. Agree on one final answer. While students are pairing and discussing, I will go to students desk to see what they are doing.
18
In-class Activity Design -2
My Justify for in-class Activity Design is an active learning strategy:- In both the above strategies (PI and TPS), students are required to go beyond mere listening and execution of prescribed steps. They are required to think deeply about the content they were familiarized in out-of-class activity and do higher order thinking. There is also feedback provided (either through peer discussion or instructor summary)
19
EVALUATION For the evaluation no guidelines from IITBombayX.

Community Building: I will upload all course material like ppt, videos and pdf files,my blogs…etc. on my wordpress website for entire community who are studying in same level of diploma course any state of India for learning at their place of convenience. I will advertise about availability of this course materials through social media. And also try to get feedback through Google forms.
