1 DLR NOTES- September 11, Parts of Speech Noun: Refers to words that are used to name persons, things, animals, places, ideas, or events. Pronoun: A part of a speech which functions as a replacement for a noun. Verb: Shows an action or a state of being.

2 DLR- Tuesday, September 12, 2017 In each sentence, underline the subject and circle the verb. Then label the subject as either a noun (N) or pronoun (P) She strolled around in the dark The startled deer ran fast It should be a great show The climate of the Everglades is hot and humid The car will not operate by itself.
