2 What Needs To Be Developed First?
The athlete should be proficient in walking and balancing!

3 Initial Dribbling Stage
Dribbles with palm or uses two hands (no constant dribble) Body is in upright position Little to no feet movement Little to no knee flexion Narrow base of support Head down looking at the ball

4 Emerging dribbling stage
One hand dribbling occurs/ start of finger use Develops athletic stance Step length increases Knee flexion increases but not constant Wider base of support Occasional looking down at the ball but not constantly

6 Proficient Dribbling Stage
Either hand dribbling with fingers only Natural athletic stance Able to walk, run and change direction while dribbling Continuous knee flexion Feet shoulder width apart Head up not looking at the ball

7 Constraints Individual Constraints: Environmental Constraints:
Strength Hand-to-eye coordination Environmental Constraints: Teacher/ instructor Culture Task Constraints: Ball size
