Product Model PE Foam Gasket Tape
PE Foam Gasket Tape 418 consists of an expanded Alveolit TA PE foam coated on one side with a pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive. The non-adhesive face has a permanently bonded clear 38 micron LDPE film liner for ease of use. 418 does not have a paper liner. The standard colour of this product is black, however other colour options are available

418 is not self extinguishing, not even in the horizontal burning test (FMVSS 302/ISO 3795).

Since there are no halogenated flame retardants present in the foam there won't be any toxic brominates substances in the fumes. However, depending on the conditions during the fire harmful gases may be generated like carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, nitrogen monoxide, nitrogen dioxide. During combustion particular danger arises of burning drops.
