summary
Nicki is going to a new school because her dad got a scholarship to be a bug exterminator. Nicki is scared that people at her school are going to find out about her dad, So her first day of school is awful, she has no friends, the most popular girl in the school hates her and she has no phone,so about a week of horrible days go by and she is in gym and finds two girls that she shares similar interests with and that happened to be the best day since she started her new school, later that year Nicki began liking a boy named Brandon and she found out that he likes her too,the end.

3. Max Crumbly Locker Hero
Max is a high schooler that doesn't have many friends and gets bullied everyday one day he get locked in his locker he was thinking about being a superhero so he sketched one out so the principal got him out the next day he was feeling woozy and thought he was sick but at the nurse's office he saw a symbol on his chest he didn't think anything of it until he had super strength and stood up to his bullies and had a wonderful rest of the year.

4. Tales From A Not So Happy Ever After
Summary
After a bump on the head in gym class on April Fool’s Day, Nikki has a wild dream in which she, her best friend’s Chloe and Zoey, her crush Brandon, and mean girl Mackenzie all end up playing the roles of some familiar classic fairy tale characters. Of course, the stories doesn’t go quite as expected,she almost went to jail,almost executed but finally she woke up and everything was back to normal.

they're written diary-style with font that looks like handwriting, along with doodles, drawings, and cool text features. Also she add humor into her writing so readers can relate it to real life experience.

6. characters Nicki is sarcastic and fearful.
Brandon is joyful and funny.
Zoey is loving and sincere
Chloe is loyal and happy.
nikki and brandon are very alike have the same personality.chloe and zoey are opposite because chloe is very cooperative and zoey is a trouble maker.

7. Theme
Don’t judge a book by its cover. I think the theme is don’t judge a book by it’s cover, because everyone thought Nikki was a boring person who had no friends, but at the end she was known and a really cool person by the end of each book.

8. Recommendation
I would recommend this book because it has an very interesting conflict and in some ways many can relate to this book and it also has comedy in it.
I wouldn't recommend because it is short and it has very repetitive storylines.

Rachel Renée Russell is an American author of the children’s book series Dork Diaries and The Misadventures of Max Crumbly. She was born March 13, She wrote her first book when she was in middle school and presented the story to her twin brothers as a birthday present . She later earned her law degree and worked as an attorney while writing her best-known books.
