1 Is Your Name Written There?
Luke 10:20 “Nevertheless in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”

2 Something In A Name! Names are special! Your name is special!
Some say – “there is nothing in a name” Some say – “One church is good as another” Some say – “there is SOMETHING in a name” Acts 4:12; 2 Timothy 2:19 Your name is special! If He does… I want my name to be there! Do YOU? If He does not… This lesson is needless & pointless!

5 Does God Keep Such A Record?
Prophets Confirm That He Does! Daniel 7:9-10 “I beheld till thrones were placed, and one that was ancient of days did sit: his raiment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like pure wool; his throne was fiery flames, (and) the wheels thereof burning fire. A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousands of thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened. Malachi 3:16 “Then they that feared Jehovah spake one with another; and Jehovah hearkened, and heard, and a book of remembrance was written before him, for them that feared Jehovah, and that thought upon his name.”

Revelation 20:12 “And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne; and books were opened: and another book was opened, which is (the book) of life: and the dead were judged out of the things which were written in the books, according to their works.” Revelation 20:15 “And if any was not found written in the book of life, he was cast into the lake of fire.”

8 Does God Keep Such A Record?
God Said He Does! “And the LORD said to Moses, Whoever has sinned against Me, I will blot him out of My book” – Exodus 32:33 Moses was right! – See vs. 32 THESE PROOF TEXTS CONFIRM THAT GOD DOES KEEP SUCH A RECORD!

9 How Is One’s Name Written There?
Not by morality alone. Acts 10:1-4, 22-23 Sin must be forgiven. Sacrifice necessary! Cf. Romans 3:23-26 Must be born again. John 3:3-5; cf. James 1:18; 1 Peter 1:23 Must be baptized into Christ. Galatians 3:26-27

10 How Is One’s Name Written There?
Not by doctrines and commandments of men Being religious. Matthew 15:1-9; 2 Timothy 3:13 Not by being conscientious. Acts 23:1-3; cf. 26:9 Proverbs 14:12

11 How Is One’s Name Written There?
Not by just thinking it is there. Acts 19:1ff; John 14:15 Many think there names are written there. Faith only. Heb. 11;6; John 8:24; 12:42-43; James 2:14-24; Infant baptism. Mt. 28:18ff; Mk. 16:15-16; Acts 8:12 Sprinkling or Pouring. Rom. 6:3-4; Col. 2:12 Must be a follower of Christ. Mt. 7:21ff

12 How Is One’s Name Written There?
Not by being in a man-made church. Jesus promised to build “MY CHURCH” Matthew 16:18 One church. Ephesians 4:4; 1:22-23 Acts 2:40, 47; Hebrews 12:23 Those who obey.

13 Whose Name Is Written There?
Those who “come unto” Christ – Matthew 11:28-30 Those “reconciled to God” – Colossians 1:20-21 Romans 5:8-10 Those in the “one Body” – Ephesians 2:16; 4:1-6 Those taught & perfected by the Truth! – Ephesians 4 Those who are “born again” – 1 Peter 1:23 He that “abideth in the doctrine of Christ” 2 John 9-11

14 Whose Name Is Written There?
“Whosever calleth..” – Acts 2:21 Those “baptized into Christ” – Galatians 3:26-29 Those who “walk in the light” – 1 John 1:5-10 Those “faithful unto death” – Revelation 2:10 Those who do the “will of my Father” – Matthew 7:21 The “doers of the word” – James 1:22-25 The “steadfast, unmovable” – 1 Corinthians 15:58 He who has NOT “believed in vain” – 1 Cor. 15:1-2 Those who “walk in the Spirit” – Gal. 5:16, 22-26

15 Who Will Be Blotted Out? Those who sin and do not repent!
“He that overcometh shall thus be arrayed in white garments; and I will in no wise blot his name out of the book of life, and I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.” Rev 3:5 This refutes the Calvinistic doctrine called: “ “Once saved, always saved” Or “The impossibility of apostasy”

16 Who Will Be Blotted Out? Those who have left their first love.
Rev 2:4-5 “But I have (this) against thee, that thou didst leave thy first love. Remember therefore whence thou art fallen, and repent and do the first works; or else I come to thee, and will move thy candlestick out of its place, except thou repent.”

17 Who Will Be Blotted Out? Worldliness.
“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the vain glory of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.” 1 John 2:15-17

18 Who Will Be Blotted Out? Lukewarmness.
Rev 3:16 “So because thou art lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spew thee out of my mouth.”

Calls them “beloved” but strangers in the first epistle. See Heb. 11:13-16.
