Many businesses thought it would hurt their business because they’d lose money
Creating a smoke free environment helped the businesses
“The Peanut Barrel” in Michigan thought for sure its doors would close, when instead it became a family friendly environment and made more money than ever before

11. Conclusion
Overall, it’s a good idea for the government to keep the public smoking ban in place
Second hand smoke harms children and adults, and the only way to fully protect nonsmokers and our environment is to eliminate smoking in all homes, worksites, and public places.
