What certificate or degree am I working toward?
Certificate (1+): cna, dental asst, auto mechanic, commercial driver, cosmetologist, emt, massage therapist, computer networking, electrician, welder, plumber. Etc. AAS (2+): dental Hygienist, Respiratory Therapist, Programmer, Telecom installer, police officer, industrial engineering technician, paralegal, hvac mechanic Aa/as (2+): general transfer degrees – equivalent to the first two years of a bachelor’s degree Ba/bs (4+): engineer, manager, statistician, computer forensic analyst, designer, financial services, Registered Nurse, web designer, nutritionist, public school teacher Master’s/professional (6+): AP/forensic Nurse, geneticist, administrator, Social worker, school counselor, physical therapist, physician assistant Doctorate (8+): physician, surgeon, psychologist, professor, scientist

Plan ahead for your Junior and Senior years of high school
Take the right classes: Advanced placement (Ap): Student must have a 3.5 gpa Concurrent enrollment (ce): Student must have a 3.5 gpa in the subject area –or- approval from the course instructor Pathways/pre-requisite: course offerings that work together and build on each other.
