2 ‘What makes a good employer endorsed careers strategy?

3 Creating a detailed and personalised profile
1:1 meetings with individual students once they arrive at the Park Campus Academy. Collecting information from all departments including the SENCO, all support staff, and other agencies such as the Youth Offending Team, Social Services etc. We try to highlight the strengths and talents of each student by having 1:1 discussions and make observations on how they interact with others Establish good communication with parents and carers. For example, transition packs and 1:1 discussions with parents The profile for each student will be updated throughout the academic year.

4 Opportunities for individual and group activities
Work experience (organised by the Local Authority) Workshops (practical workshops in school from employers and the world of work). Information events for parents and carers (ensuring parents and carers have all the relevant information and understand the Post 16 application process) Apprenticeship Roadshows, conferences, career fairs

5 Recording and testing students’ knowledge and skills
Using the Doddle statements across KS3 and KS4. Doddle is an online progress reporting system with teaching, homework and assessment resources. The Doddle statements are ‘I can’ statements based on the learning objectives and graded in steps Record targets achieved - reflections and evaluations completed with our partner agencies, volunteers and mentors. Maintain a personal profile on each student. Year 11 Achievement folder including certificates, references, important dates, CV’s and a list of support agencies and websites

8 Our Vision/Mission statement
Working as a team to deliver a meaningful careers and guidance programme. All staff and professionals need to be involved. The Park Campus Academy works with a wide range of outside agencies and partners agencies within and beyond the Local Authority. This ensures all our students have access to information and opportunities regarding further education, training and the world of work. Our strategy builds on the national requirements for careers, enterprise and work-related learning and has been shaped to support the outcomes of the Lambeth Career Cluster.

9 Examples of a Practical Workshops
Some of our KS3 students have participated in a practical workshop organised by employers from Springboard. Springboard is one of our partner agencies. Springboard provides opportunities for young people in the hospitality sector.

10 Students in KS4 are taking part in the Life Course with the London Fire Brigade.

11 KS3 Students are learning about the creative media industry as well as participating in workshops through RAW Material

12 KS4 students are finding out about the hospitality and tourist industry. Participating in practical work shops and finding out about career opportunities within the hospitality sector.

13 We organised a one day careers information and participation workshop with the Royal Navy

14 Students volunteering and supporting community projects

15 Competition and showcasing talents

16 Working with Fulham Football Club giving our students the opportunity to represent the school, learning important life skills such as travelling to different venues, interacting with other young people, following a code of conduct and performing in public.
