5 What will TIME be used for?
Teaching a targeted topic/skill that students were struggling with in the regular lesson Students having extra time to complete coursework Relearning/reteaching expectation Exam Support

7 Instructional Day Schedule
Instructional Minutes: minutes EB - Block 6: 315 minutes Blocks: 54 minutes I-TIME: 40 minutes Staff Meeting Days: No I-TIME Blocks: 51 minutes

8 Teacher’s Week: Example: TIME Week of: September 11- 15
Monday: Factoring Trinomials Tuesday: Not Available - Collaborating Wednesday: Extra Help with Assignments Thursday: Special Triangles Friday: Extra Help with Assignments During Collaboration you could decide among your team if there are certain topics that you would like to offer and open to other students to join Use the guiding questions to filter your decisions Want to provide students a support that meets their needs …. If you are explaining something 10X individually, why not make another instruction class and do it once?

9 Student’s Week: Students will be able to submit and change their schedule anytime during the prior week. Each Friday during TIME , teachers will allow students time to refine and ensure each student has submitted their schedule electronically. 12 Typical Agenda for Teacher Collaboration: (Scheduled Once a Week)
10 minutes Set up schedule for TIME topics for the following week based on student need - discuss student needs 25 minutes Work on Deliverable 5 minutes Determine what outside work needs to be accomplished before next meeting

13 Collaboration Scheduled once a week
Possible Topics Create unit learning targets Develop assessments so they are learning target aligned for relearn/reassess Develop relearning/reassessing materials Identify and share instructional strategies that best help students - for classroom or TIME Set up following week TIME schedule if sharing topics Identify which students require additional time and support Consider preteaching as well as reteaching Develop assessment tools - common rubrics, tasks, Acquire Professional Development to support classroom and/or TIME Jackie or admin will work with you to provide support to you Share Handout as to what I-TIME for teachers

14 Action Research Means …….
We will need to be flexible as it is a new process. This has the potential to be valuable to everyone…..we all have a part to play to make it successful…..the key will be to identify what is not working and creatively think what could make it better. There will be focus groups of students and staff in October - January - April, as well as data will be collected on Our School Data Survey in March-April.
