SITUATION
Mobiliger helps clients increase customer loyalty, get return customers and repeat purchases by notifying them of specials and discounts. A client approached Mobiliger with a problem: It had spent a lot of time and effort creating a product catalog for mobile commerce via Android, but the size of the catalog had reached hundreds of megabytes, making it difficult to distribute and install on mobile devices.

Mobiliger is a service designed to allow users to shop via online stores from mobile devices without creating personalized applications – “a store in your pocket." The service is intended for store owners, with end users as potential customers. Its purpose is to attract repeat sales thanks to a convenient push notification system that informs customers about the most up-to-date current special offers.
SOLUTION
Mobiliger chose Microsoft Azure to help solve the problem. The data was entered into Mobiliger’s sister app MyBusinessCatalog, then uploaded to Microsoft Azure Storage. Mobiliger for Android and Windows/Windows Phone 8/10 uses Azure Mobile Services to display data. The apps can be installed and launched quickly and easily, and the data is downloaded dynamically from the Azure cloud. Mobiliger also relies on Azure SQL Database, Azure Web Apps and Azure Notification Hubs.
