6. Imagery + Setting
The afternoon sun spills into the front room of Karen Patrick’s welcoming home. Sitting down and facing her, anyone can see that Karen has lived quite the life. Photos on the side table showcase her world travels, warm family memories create a window into who she truly is. Directly across from her, an old oak cabinet houses her degree from the University of Illinois. With a bachelor’s degree in business, she is an accomplished woman who found her “true self” and grew “quite a bit” from her time on the Champaign Campus.
