But first…let’s talk What are the conceptions of assessment that most people you know have about educational assessment? To what extent do those conceptions help or hinder the process of designing and implementing high quality assessments in education? What would it take for a state like Michigan to design and implement a coherent and balanced assessment system tied to college and career readiness standards? What are the conceptions of assessment that most people you know, including policy makers, educators, parents, and the general public, have about educational assessment? To what extent do those conceptions help or hinder the process of designing and implementing high quality assessments as part of normal educational practice? What would it take for a state like Michigan to design and implement a coherent and balanced assessment system tied to college and career readiness standards?

Contact a colleague Check the ALN member roster to see if an education organization you belong to is taking part in the Assessment Learning Network If so, contact the ALN representative listed, and encourage them to share the learning with organization members Pitch to your peeps If your organization is not shown, encourage an education organization you DO belong to designate a representative to the ALN Stay in touch, and encourage active participation Explore public resources on the ALN website.
