4 Course policy – BSE655 Course contents till mid-sem exam – Introduction to physiology, cell and general physiology, membrane physiology nerve and muscle, the heart, the circulation, the kidneys and body fluids, blood cells immunity and blood clotting. Course contents after midsem exam till end-sem exam – Respiration, Aviation, space and deep sea physiology, neurophysiology, sensory systems, motor and integrative systems, gastrointestinal physiology, metabolism and temperature regulation, endocrinology and reproduction. Weightage – Midsem – 40, endsem – 40 and quizzes – 20 (Four). Topics covered in midsem exam will be necessary to answer endsem exam. No make-up exam if you miss the midsem exam and/or quizzes. If you miss the Midsem exam, marks will be pro-rated based on endsem exam marks. If you miss MORE THAN ONE quiz you will receive ZERO in the quizzes you missed. If you miss one quiz your performance in the missed quiz will be pro-rated as the average of the other quizzes. Attendance will be taken but there is no weightage for attendance. However, quizzes will be ALL SURPRISE quizzes. No SURPRISE quiz will be conducted on the last (class) day before midsem recess OR the first (class) day after midsem recess OR on a non-Senate-mandated extra class day. A surprise quiz may be conducted on any other official class day. Adoption of UNFAIR MEANS in any form will result in an deduction of 50% marks from that exam.
