2015 Skagit SRFB Round – Successful grant applications: Pressentin Park Phase 2&3 - $1,775,590 Partnership with Skagit County Parks Hamilton-Carey’s Slough Preliminary Design Phase 1 -$200,000 Partnership with City of Hamilton, Skagit Land Trust Skagit Side channel barrier designs $77,688 Partnership with SLT, Private landowner, WDFW and Skagit County Public Works Skagit Basin Riparian Restoration $133,000 Partnership with SRSC, SLT, SCL

2016 Skagit SRFB Proposal – Collaborative riparian stewardship Partnering with Skagit County, USIT, TNC, SCL Have identified multiple properties in need of planting, maintenance and invasive control Lower Day Creek Slough SCL/Faber Hobbit Corners – SCL, TNC Hansen –USIT, Skagit County Parks

Objective 5.3 Correct Fish Passage Barriers
Completed design for one of the floodplain barrier projects and secured $130,000 in funding from PSE to complete work in 2016 Working with SRSC, Skagit County, USIT to update Skagit fish passage barrier database and identify high priority projects Have reviewed and worked with landowners to submit 3 FFFPP applications in 2016

Goal 5.4 Ensure adequate skills, expertise &resources
Bengt Miller moved up to Stewardship Director (Dec. 2015) Rachel West – has accepted preliminary offer of Riparian Coordinator position (3/22) Interviews for Habitat Restoration Coordinator scheduled for 3/29/16 Current techs are Andy Beckman, Kyle Koch Current WCC IP is Shannon Jones

Riparian Planting & maintenance= 13 grants/contracts, 59 active project sites Barrier removal design and construction = 4 grants/contracts, 2 active project sites Off-channel habitat restoration = 2 active grant/project sites Feasibility studies = 1 active grant/contracts (1 pending) Stewardship =2 active projects; many properties
