Heaven (al’ Jannah); Garden with streams, rivers, flowers, plants, all desire will be fulfilled, recline on couches / sofas, eat the choicest fruit and drink wine which delights but not intoxicate.
Hell (Jahannam); horrors, inhabitants chained up, boiling water, puss, garments of fire.

Some scholars see the descriptions in the Qu’an as metaphorical; God explains the Garden in terms of hoors (beautiful young women), castles, trees, and rivers in order that they may be understood better.
Modern Muslims; Bad Muslims and good Jews and Christians will stay in hell for a short period.
Very few argue that after-life is just spiritual, Qur’an is allegorical for them, your soul is judged and goes to spiritual heaven or hell.
