What we are learning
Notes/Reminders:
Language: Our focus this week is continuing to develop comprehension skills during our novel study, chapters # We will begin learning about pronouns in grammar and review our spelling words from lessons We will continue with our letter-writing in the lab this week and hopefully send our first letter off to Egypt soon!
Math: We will begin our fifth unit in math: Data Management! We will explore different graphs and learn how to interpret data.
Social Studies: We will begin to explore the ‘First explorers’ and the reasons behind European explorers.
Science: Test on Wednesday!
Arts: -We will be working on winter themed art –A chalk-like depiction of the Aurora Borealis!
WINTER CHANDOS PARENT VOLUNTEERS WANTED!! 5Y is still looking for parent volunteers to make this trip from January 15-17th happen. Please send me a message to let me know if you are available and are willing to come on this trip! Thank you so much in advance!
The Christmas Musical “A Tree Lot Christmas” will be held on Friday December 15th at 2:00 pm on the Track. Mark it on your calendars and see you there! 
Our 5Y Christmas party will be held on the last day of school, December 22nd. More details will come this week!
Our fundraising campaign for IJM will take place in February 2018! Stay tuned for more information!
