The teacher will usually be able to catch you for a quick word at the end of the day (unless they are on PPA). In addition each teacher will have an ‘APPOINTMENT SESSION’ each week. If you would like to see your child’s teacher for a more lengthy discussion, or just keep up to date with their progress, you should sign up for a session in the new ‘little yellow books’ that are by the signing in book in the foyer. Your child’s teacher will send a note home to confirm the meeting time and date. The days of the teachers’ ‘APPOINTMENT SESSIONS’ are 3:30 to 4:30pm on: Questions at 6:30 / 6:45. To move the school from ‘GOOD’ to ‘OUTSTANDING’ by:
School Aims for 2016 – 17 To move the school from ‘GOOD’ to ‘OUTSTANDING’ by: Target 1. Further developing our ‘Culture of Challenge’. Making our ‘Going For Goals’ process even better by helping you challenge yourself to get better at your ‘WISHES’. Using ‘Working Walls’ and ‘tutorials’ on the i-pads so that you can help yourself when you are stuck. Giving you the time to read feedback from your teacher or your classmates. Giving you the chance to improve on the next steps (WISHES). You and your teacher working together to help you make the right choices about what ‘Chilli Challenge Level’ to choose. Giving you and your parents the chance to do important homework and making it as interesting as possible. Target 2. Developing excellence in the Curriculum and in our Assessment. Giving you the chance to work on interesting topics and work towards making quality end products like an Art Gallery or a Museum in your classroom. Giving you chances to use your maths and English skills in useful situations. Making better use of the outdoors when we’re learning. Challenging you to achieve your best. Target 3. Further developing ‘Citizenship’ and ‘Christian Learning Attitudes’ in our pupils. We will help you find out more about what different types of people live in Britain and learn that whilst we are all different – we all have lots in common and we are all British. We will help you develop Christian Values and Attitudes that will help you live a happy and successful life. We will help you understand more about The World and help you to develop respect for other cultures, societies and religions.
