13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.14 Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth…

4. Enemy’s Assault of Truth
Satan comes as a:
Serpent to deceive. Genesis 3:1-5
Lion to intimidate. 2 Timothy 3:12

5. Lies enslave and truth liberates.
Why do we need the belt?
John 8: So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed in him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, 32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

Often a barrier to acquisition…
Often in conflict with what we wish were true…

7. How do we put on the belt?

Be a Christ Follower. John 14:6
Know His Teaching. 2 Timothy Ch. 2 & 3
Abide (obey) His Teaching. Jn. 15 & James 1:22-24
