What is a Safety Audit? On-site review of an identified area or building with safety issues. Consists of four phases: 1 – Identify the Need 2 – on-site collection of data 3 – summary report 4 – implementation

Survey Employees or users of the space Profile of respondent
Identify locations of safety concern Identify time of year or time of day safety concerns Request recommendations to improve safety

Summary Report Appendix should summarize raw data collected
Report should include description of the context of the Safety Audit ie. outside of building only Recommendations in high, medium and low priority (available resources are important to consider)

Implementation Review Draft Report with client (sensitive issues, risk management issues, resource and priorities) Presentation of Final Report to Board, Client, Stakeholder Group Provide information links, resources to implement recommendations
