What is EXTRA? Objectives:
A 14-month pan-Canadian quality improvement and leadership fellowship. Objectives: Create a pan-Canadian community Build the capacity of organizations Enhance the capacity of leaders Accelerate sustainable design, implementation and evaluation of improvement projects

New and Noteworthy No special theme: Improvement projects should be drive by the priorities of your organization and should reflect the change you want to make happen Reduced fee: To make the program more accessible, the cost for participating has been reduced to $5,000 per Fellow 8 cfhi-fcass.ca

Roles, Responsibilities and Resources
Fellows must have a significant scope of authority, responsibility and influence within the organization(s) Improvement Team access to strategic advice and guidance from key leaders, including a minimum of 2 patient advisors include as a member of the team or appropriately engage clinicians / providers, patients and family access to performance measurement / evaluation, and project management support

CEO / Senior Leadership provide strategic advice and guidance related to leadership and change management actively participate in the CFHI organizational assessment, site visits, reporting webinars, and attend the final presentation ensure Fellows have protected time to work, and resources required to successfully lead the improvement project

Program Fees and Cost Sharing
$5,000/Fellow Organizations pay a one-time fee per Fellow. A minimum of 3 and maximum of 4 Fellows required per application. CFHI covers cost of: Travel, accommodation and 2 meals/day at 4 in-person residency sessions Access to CFHI Faculty, Coaches and the online learning platform known as the CFHI Desktop Cost Sharing Organizations are encouraged to work together to share the cost of the EXTRA Program 32
