public transit, seaport, airport and rail projects
transportation planning, intelligent transportation, engineering and design, right of way acquisition and construction activities
Fiscal Year (FY) 2019 runs from July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019
Year 1 is the proposed budget (pending Legislature & Governor approval)
Years 2-5 are for program planning purposes
Includes FDOT projects and local projects with FDOT involvement

FDOT’s current adopted work program runs from Fiscal year 2018 (which began on July 1 of this year) until Fiscal Year (which ends on June 30, 2022).

Every year on June 30, the current year of the work program ends and Year 2 moves up to become the new current year.

At this time, FDOT begins developing the new five year work program.
The common four years are reviewed for changes and cost adjustments.
A new fifth year is added to the program and funding is allocated to the next phase of projects programmed in the four prior years.

This is the point where we are currently at in the process.
After the work program is updated by FDOT staff it is considered “Tentative” and a public hearing is held.
Then, the Tentative Work Program is submitted to the Florida Legislature for review and then to the Governor for review and signature.
