“Zip-like electrical discharges (Zips)” is a common ictal EEG pattern in neonates, which consists of focal episodic rapid spikes of accelerating and decelerating speed that look like zippers. Zips may be associated with subclinical, subtle, focal clonic, and tonic seizures.
