3. Brief History Our school is over 100 years old
It has been part of UNESCO’s Associated Schools Project Network (ASPnet) since 1967.
Hopefully in 2018 we will become a affiliated Cambridge School (1 of 4 in CZ)

5 foreign languages are taught
635 students attending this school year from 59 different villages and 7 districts
192 students go to Cambridge courses

8. The Aims of the School
Creates a friendly atmosphere with mutual tolerance
Teach how important education is – it does not only mean absorbing encyclopaedic knowledge
Education led by the learner’s need to create his or her own personality and attitude to education
To provides high-quality language education
Develop principles of prevention, e.g. The fight against AIDS, efforts to detect signs of bullying, leisure time activities, etc.

9. What the school tries to do
Offers a various number of activities – skiing and canoeing courses, regular swimming lessons, skating, sport competitions and after-school clubs
Arranges interesting tours and excursions in the Czech Republic and foreign countries
