2 Categories : ACTIVE & PASSIVE
Active : We interact with target system. Can be detected live (or easily)
Passive : (If possible) We do not need to interact with target for information gathering. (Complex to Trace)

There are lots of methods/process for information gathering. But, I’ll show you lab on Netcraft.
Go to netcraft.com, & enter the domain name of site.
