The distance from “ V ” (Vertex) to “ F ” is called the focal length.
Diagram 4: Concave Mirror The distance from “ V ” (Vertex) to “ F ” is called the focal length.
6
Objects in a Concave Mirror are always Real. Unless it’s inside of “F”
Diagram 5: Object at the Center of Curvature or “C” Objects in a Concave Mirror are always Real. Unless it’s inside of “F”
7
Diagram 6: Object outside of the Center of Curvature
When the object is outside “C” the reflected image is always between “C” and “F”
8
When the object is between “C” and “F” the image is always outside “C”
Diagram 7: Image between “C” and “F” - Between Center of Curvature and the Focus When the object is between “C” and “F” the image is always outside “C”
9
When the object is at “F” there is NO IMAGE!
Diagram 8: Object at the center of Focus or at “F” When the object is at “F” there is NO IMAGE!
