HOMEWORK – PEER ASSESSMENT
Swap books with someone on your table – their homework should be in their books Come a collect purple pen for peer marking/feedback

IPADS out and log onto Kahoot

Rate of perceived exertion –BORG Scale
The RPE Scale measures a performers rate of perceived exertion, that is how hard they think they are working Scale is from 6-20, 6 is equal to no exertion at all and 20 is maximum exertion Used to estimate HR and therefore monitor if an individual is working in the correct training zone Between on the scale suggests physical activity is working in an aerobic training zone
5
Using RPE scale to predict heart rate
Equation: RPE X 10 = Heart Rate (BPM) Example: Luca has been playing Tennis for 45 minutes. He rates his exercise intensity as hard, and a RPE of 15. Therefore, RPE (15) X 10 = 150BPM Activity RPE Level Calculated HR Set of X4 20m max sprint Walking Yoga Class TASK
6
Frequency – How often you train Intensity – How hard you train
FITT PRINCIPLE Frequency – How often you train Intensity – How hard you train Time – How long you train Type – how specific your training should be (training method)
7
Applying the FITT principle
TASK: You have been presented with the scenario for Rob you need to apply the FITT principle to his circuit session Frequency? – How often do you want him to complete this circuit? Intensity? – Training zone? How could you adapt the stations to make them a higher intensity? Time? – How long would you like each station to last? Would some stations be sets and reps rather than time? Rest period? How many times will be complete the circuit in a session? Would the times change between completing the circuit? Type – what type of method of training is being used? Why is this appropriate?

HOMEWORK Complete exam practice questions for topics covered on firefly page will be suggested by , but can be found under FITT lesson Your books are being handed in for marking, please complete your homework questions on your Ipad/or home computer, and bring this PRINTED for next lesson – you should be able to now print from your Ipad in school
