A NOTE FROM THE TEACHER
WHAT’S HAPPENING IN...
4th Grade
Reading - We are going to continue to work on using context clues and finding evidence to support comprehension questions in the text.
Math - Review of Unit 1 and Unit 2 skills.
5th Grade
Reading - We are going to practice context clues and do some practice going back in the text to find evidence to support comprehension questions.
Math - Students are taking their unit 2 test today (Monday) and if they need additional time later this week. We are also going to work on long division with partial products.
I am super excited to meet everyone at parent teacher conferences. If you haven’t signed up yet please sign-up using directions that your child’s classroom teacher has sent home. We are going to review some reading skills this week and not start a new reading unit until the week of October 23rd.

Read minutes a night and ask your child to share what they read about
Work on multiplication facts
Practice vocabulary words by using them in a sentence and having your child share what the word means
