S.NO. Initiative Remarks 1. Launch of new Website of the Ministry A new / redesigned Website which is compliant to Guidelines for Indian Government Website was launched on 2. Launch of Social Media/ Facebook Platform of the Ministry. The Social Media Page of the Ministry launched on for disseminating the Ministry’s new achievements and policies.

Obtaining NOC for extraction of Ground Water An online portal for grant of “No Objection Certificate” for extraction of Ground Water has been launched on 5. Implementation of e-Procurement in the Ministry. All tenders for Goods and services are being published online on the Central Public Procurement Portal (CPPP) as per guidelines of DoE w.e.f. April, 2015.

Vigilance Online Integrated Complaints and Enquiry. has been implemented w.e.f for monitoring the status of current Vigilance cases.

Innovative Steps Taken
S.NO. Initiative Remarks 1. Management Information System (MIS)/ Dashboard for monitoring the physical and financial progress of Schemes viz. Accelerated Irrigation Benefit Programme (AIBP), DRIP, PMKSY, RRR, FM a dashboard has been prepared. hyperlinked with the Website of the Ministry. 2. e-Book e-Book containing the major activities and achievements has been uploaded on the Website. E-Book on First year achievements has been uploaded on the Website. E-Book on 56 Review Meetings taken by Hon’ble Minister has been uploaded on the Website.

Innovative Steps Taken
S.NO. Initiative Remarks 3. Gov.in Domain for the Regional Offices. All Regional Offices are in process of acquiring their separate Gov.in domain for their websites/ webpages. Would facilitate in becoming a more differentiated identity, independent from the main website which will bring self-control on the content and more engagement with the citizens potentially. 4. Executive Records Sheets ER Sheets has been prepared of about 7000 employees of all Attached/ Subordinate Offices.

Action Plan for 2016-2017 S.NO. Initiative to be undertaken
Action Proposed 1. Program for e-Tour Management system. All tour related process would be brought online. 2. Web-enable MIS/ Dashboard for Schemes monitoring Terms of Reference (ToR) have been approved by Secretary (WR). NICSI is being approached for taking up its implementation. 3. Development of HRMS HRMS will be critical in providing a single access point of data entry and retrieval on human resources. NICSI is being approached for its implementation as well. 4. Complaint Management System Is being developed in-House by NIC Cell for effective monitoring internal complaints regarding infrastructure etc.

Suggestions for improvement of e-Governance
Preparation of Dedicated team of suitable officers under the Nodal Officers of the Ministry. Adherence to timelines must be ensured. Identification of other Areas/ system/ processes pertaining to their Organization/ Wing/ Division to introduce in e-Governance mode. Heads of Organizations should monitor the progress of e-Governance regularly. Proper training of Staff to make it more successful.
