We use a behavior plan called SOAR. Your child will have a behavior card that comes home each day in their communication folder. Please review each night and initial.

6 We will be using Words Their Way to teach spelling patterns
We will be using Words Their Way to teach spelling patterns. Children will sort a list of words (in class) based on a specific pattern weekly. They will do various activities in class with their words in their Spelling Journal. We keep this Journal in ELA class. They will also work with their Words Their Way Workbook in PIE block.

8 PIE Personalized Intervention & Enrichment
PIE will be divided into ELA and Math Lessons will reinforce skills being taught by Mrs. Cronin & Mrs. Bryant. Students will be working with partners and independently on various tasks, games and on technology resources. During this time, Ms. Cobb will pull groups depending on area of need. In certain blocks LIFT Teachers or Interventionist will push in.

North Carolina Zoo in Asheboro (Tentative -April 25th) Parents are welcome to attend as chaperones! We will be sending more information as it becomes available! Students wear class t-shirts on trips. An order form was sent home with your child last week!

13 Transportation Changes
Please call the office to make transportation changes after 7:45 am. If your child transportation changes weekly, please send in a calendar designating how your child should go home.
