Spellings
13
Spellings Once every two weeks on Friday your child will bring home a list of words – predominantly High frequency words or their focus sound in phonics. They will be tested in school in a random order and in the context of a sentence and then correct spellings will be highlighted on their list so that you can see how many were correct. A lot of the HFW cannot always be sounded out when spelling and therefore need to be recognised and learnt by sight.
