Strike Zone - Armpits to top of knees in normal stance

3.08 – If pitcher throws warmup – they are in game
3.09 – Manager/Coaches will not warm up pitchers
3.10 – UIC or Game Coordinator determines playing conditions once pre game is done
3.16 – Spectator Interference – put runners where you think they would have been. Out on fly ball interference.

Putting Ball in Play
4.03 – Fielders must start in fair territory (not catcher)
4.04 – Injury – skip over in order
Late – put at end of lineup
4.06 – Cannot make pitcher balk/illegal pitch
4.08 – Give verbal warning to bench
4.09 – tag up is not a force play
Must end game by touching all required bases

4.10 – 4 innings is complete game (3.5)
Between 1 and 3 innings and game is suspended
10 run rule after 4 innings
cannot play with less than 9 players or no adult in dugout

5.09 – if ump interferes with catchers throw then runner goes back or out (if thrown out)
Batted ball touches runner before infielder
Ball lodged in catchers mask or gear = 1 base
fly ball that is caught then dead ball territory – ok as long as player remains upright.

6.05 – uncaught 3rd strike – may run anytime prior to dugout

7.05 – base awards for different plays
1 on pitched ball
2 on throws from field
7.06 – Obstruction
Play being made – Dead Ball – Runner gets 1 base, all others where they would have been
Play not being made – Delayed Dead Ball – put where they belong – advance further at own risk
Catcher – must have possession

7.09 – Interference

Not hit – Out or Return to Base
Hit – Only get value of hit or out – return all runners as far back as can to value prior to hit
No runs can score if bases loaded and infield hit/error

Rule 8 Notes
8.01 – Pitchers take signs from catchers
Ensure pitchers step back with correct foot
Do not have to stop in Majors/Minors from Set position
Baseball – Illegal Pitch = Ball
Softball - Hand apart / then sign / then 1-10 seconds together / then windup and pitch
No hand to mouth when in pitching circle – Ball on batter
8.06 – allowed 2 visits to pitcher per inning, 3 per game
1 offensive time out per inning
