Have well adjusted with his/her own Stoma. Remember the purpose of Visit. Make visit as promised and on time. Must know new information about Ostomies.

Follow basic visiting Steps. Not to share information about meeting with Ostomate. Must give feedback to person who arranged the visit.

Not to share information about Ostomates except Healthcare Team. Follow Hospital Rules of Privacy.

Medical Advise Not to discuss Medical Information about Ostomy Surgery. This should be left to Doctor/Nurse.

29 Basic Visiting Steps Stoma Care Advise is not permitted.
No particular product should be recommended. Should not show his/her Stoma or Bag.

Basic Answers to Questions. Medical Questions should be referred back to Doctor/Nurse. Offer to come back after Surgery.
