1. Macondo MC 252 BP April 20-22 2010 RIG EXPLOSION, FIRE and Going Down
MC_252 [Macondo Prospect] – BP had just set 7” casing in this well before it exploded and caught fire at 10:00 pm on the night of April 20, The No.1 well is still burning after it reached a total depth of 18,360’BPH (14.0#mwt) using the Deepwater Horizon rig. The location is 6940’ FNL & 1041’ FEL. The PTD is 20,600’. MOEX Offshore (10%) and Anadarko (25%) have the remaining working interest in this Deepwater Wildcat.
