Watch this trailer and pay attention to the camera angles, movement and how the atmosphere is created visually. Please link this to your blog and write your observations in bullet points

Long Shot Watch this clip and consider why the director has chosen to use a long shot, what effect does this have on the atmosphere? Again link this to your blogs with some bullet points of your ideas.

Extreme Wide Angle A wide angle helps to establish the location, and setting of a scene.

Wide Angle Frames the full height of the characters, showing the location or action.

Close-Up Shows the actors head and shoulders.

High Angle Shot The camera is placed higher than the subject and tilted downward.

Low Angle Shot Camera is lower than the subject and tilted upward.

Eye Level Shot Camera is level with the character’s eyes.

Birds Eye View The camera is directly above the action

Canted Shot Camera is tilted so that the subject appears on the diagonal and off balance.

Three-quarter Shot The camera is between a frontal and profile angle, normally 45° to the subject.

Over The Shoulder Shot The camera looks over the shoulder of one of the characters and focuses on the facing character in the shot.

Task- Practice Go off and film one short clip involving movement for five of the techniques. Think about what you can communicate using these techniques. Don’t Forgot to upload these to your blogs!
