3. Greek/Latin Roots for Seniors
In your notebook rewrite the Greek or Latin Root and its definition and then use it in a sentence. Use one of the words given on the Vocabulary Development Lesson #7 Handout.
Number (number): If you are invited into the office of its director, you can see a clock on the wall that has a small hole near the numeral 1.
Fort (strong): Many teenagers look for comfort in their cellphone use. 
Osteo (bone): The osteopath must know or learn that no infringement can be tolerated in any part.
Ornith (bird): This kind of familiarity with birds has no necessary connection with ornithology.
Polis (city): Phoenix can be described as a metropolis. 
Fus (pour): Confusion spread throughout Mr. Burns' class when he explained the new research project.

Homework: Interview your parents or guardians about the Adult/Real World Word/Term of the Day a mortgage? 
Have them define the term to clarify it for you. Ask them what their average mortgage payments are per month. Then ask them for any advice (you have) about purchasing a home.
