2 Using Go-Givers lessons
The PowerPoint for this lesson is designed only as a visual aid to support the lesson outlined in the LEARNING ACTIVITIES. It will not make sense on its own, as is the case with most Go-Givers PowerPoints. Go-Givers PowerPoints can be used in their entirety OR content can be saved and edited. The green dot in the bottom right hand corner of the slide indicates when the slide animation is complete. More information about using PowerPoint can be found here

3 In this lesson we will look at how bullies pick on people for their differences, and how we can intervene in incidents of bullying.

4 Stand up -Bullying interventions

5 Direct challenge: ‘Why not? Let’s check her out. She might be a good footballer’

6 Modelling more appropriate behaviour:
‘Have you tried her food? It’s really delicious. I wish I had interesting lunches like hers.’

7 Distraction: ‘Come on, it’s not long ‘till we have to go in. Let’s play a game.’

8 Giving information: ‘I can show you how you could talk to him using Maketon.’

9 Interaction: ‘I think it’s really interesting that she’s wearing something different. Can you tell us what it means?’

10 Changing a put down into a compliment:
‘Yeah, isn’t he clever. I bet he’ll get a fantastic job when he grows up.’

11 Belittling the name caller:
‘Well you say that …. but look at you, you’re even worse ….!’
