Windows Intune and Company Commitments in the EA
Windows Intune licensing in the EA provides organizations flexibility in their purchasing. There is no minimum order requirement on Windows Intune when the customer is covered companywide when combining their CAL Suites and Windows Intune license counts. A customer purchasing Windows Intune through EA (without CAL Suites) for a portion of their desktops or users must order at least 250 licenses, unless program minimum requirements are met by another product purchase. (For example, at least 250 licenses of another qualifying enterprise Online Service subscription.) There is no minimum order requirement for Windows Intune Add On for ConfigMgr & SCEP. Example: If a customer has an EA with 500 O365 E3 licenses they can buy 1 or more licenses for Windows Intune. If a customer has an EA with Core/E CAL, the balance of their Qualified Devices or Qualified Users need to be licensed with full Intune. If a customer has no O365 or other SA for Core/E CAL on their EA – they need to buy at least 250 full Intune but don’t need to be companywide.
