1 The images were obtained in an asymptomatic woman 7 weeks and 4 days after her last menstrual period. A, The right tubal ectopic pregnancy is seen in the transverse plane of the right adnexa as an echogenic ring (blue overlay) immediately lateral to the uterus (red overlay) and medial to the right ovary (purple overlay). The right hypogastric vessels (yellow overlay) are seen lateral to the right ovary (purple overlay) and a small blood clot (red outline) that is adherent to the right Fallopian tube and ovary; bowel (orange overlay) is seen posterior to the uterus (red overlay). A yolk sac and fetal pole are seen within the extra-uterine gestational sac. The crown rump length (CRL) is noted to measure 5.48 mm (gestational age [GA], 6 weeks 2 days, blue calipers). B, The tubal ectopic pregnancy (blue overlay) is noted to be located within the junction of the isthmic and ampullary portions of the right Fallopian tube and measure 29 mm by 29 mm in the sagittal plane (left, blue calipers) and 27 mm in the transverse plane (right, blue calipers). The right ovary (purple overlay) and uterus (red overlay) are noted to be adjacent to the ectopic pregnancy (blue overlay).
