Client: STORCK - merci® Finest Assortment of European Chocolates
Objective: Build awareness around National Thank You Day and motivate people to recognize those that perform simple everyday acts of kindness. (According to a recent survey, 87.3 percent of American’s were bothered when people didn’t say “Thank you”.) Mechanics: Consumers visit the promotion microsite and submit an essay nominating someone who they feel deserves a special thank you for doing a simple good deed or act of kindness. The entrant can choose any prize they feel the nominee would want/deserves, up to $20,000. All entrants received two 8.8oz boxes of merci – one to enjoy and one to thank their nominee. Prizes: Grand Prize – Was delivered in person by our National Thank You Day spokesperson and celebrity etiquette expert and best-selling author Peggy Post. It was awarded on National Thank You Day. (9/24/07). Over 11,000 entries were received during the 4 week promotion. See video of event
