2. Psi Chi was founded in 1929 at Yale University for the purposes of encouraging, stimulating, and maintaining excellence in scholarship, and advancing the science of psychology.

3. Member of the Association of College Honor Societies
Affiliate of the American Psychological Association (APA) and the Association for Psychological Sciences (APS)

4. Membership Requirements
Minimum 3.0 GPA Overall and in Psychology
Second-semester sophomore
Psychology Majors, Minors or Graduate Students
Must have completed at least 3 psychology courses
**Transfer students must complete 4 psychology courses at UML
