3 Everything Is Going To Be Alright
By Pastor Fee Soliven 1 Corinthians 1:1-9 Sunday Morning November 12, 2017

4 1 Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother, 2 To the church of God which is at Corinth, to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all who in every place call on the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:

5 3 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ
3 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 4 I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God which was given to you by Christ Jesus, 5 that you were enriched in everything by Him in all utterance and all knowledge, 6 even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you, 7 so that you come short in no gift, eagerly waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ,

6 8 who will also confirm you to the end, that you may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

7 How do you make significant decisions?

8 When you’re waiting on God’s promise, and prayers seem to go unanswered, how do you respond?

9  1 Corinthians 1:1-2 1 Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother, 2 To the church of God which is at Corinth, to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all who in every place call on the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:

10 Inherent Characteristics of God

11  1. Omniscience

12  Isaiah 46:9-10 “Remember the former things, those of long ago; I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me. I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say: My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please”

13 Romans 11:33 “Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out!”

14 2. Omnipotence

15 Job 37:23  “The Almighty is beyond our reach and exalted in power; in his justice and great righteousness, he does not oppress.”

16 Jeremiah 32:17 “Ah, Sovereign LORD, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.”

17  3. Omnipresence

18 Jeremiah 23:24 "Can a man hide himself in hiding places So I do not see him?" declares the LORD "Do I not fill the heavens and the earth?" declares the LORD.

19 Proverbs 15:3 “The eyes of the LORD are in every place, Watching the evil and the good.”

20 4. Truthfulness

21 Titus 1:1-2 1 Paul, a bondservant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God's elect and the acknowledgment of the truth which accords with godliness, 2 in hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began…

24 "For I am the LORD, I do not change…”
Malachi 3:6 "For I am the LORD, I do not change…”

28 2 Peter 1:3 “as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue…”

29 2. If we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive them

30 1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

31 3. God will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you can bear

32 1 Corinthians 10:13 “No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.”

33 4. God will Meet your Needs

34  Matthew 6:33 “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”

40 Revelation 20:6 “Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.”
