Because these workers are not in TU, they are not entitled to Social Security Benefit

5. Objectives 25% of Self Employment workers in Columbo are part of NTUF
They get Social Security benefit: death insurance, disable benefit, eye operation,
Childrens scholarship and housing loan benefit are available after 1 year
They will also get medical/hospital benefits after joining TU for 5 years

Organizing seminars on understanding ILO Core Labour Standars No 87 and 89
Workshop to village leaders and Other Welfare Union
