2 Multidisciplinary Endorsement
The endorsement supported by Lone Oak HS for all high school students This plan consists of the core classes that are required by 4 year colleges/Universities in Texas Allows the student the most flexibility when choosing electives

3 Additional Endorsement Plans
STEM—Science, Technology, Engineering and Advanced math Business & Industry Public Service—Health Science, Education, Law Enforcement and Culinary Arts Arts and Humanities—Political Science, English Literature, World Languages, History, Cultural studies and fine arts.

4 Additional Endorsement Plans
Lone Oak students can earn one of these endorsements in addition to Multidisciplinary endorsement. Currently LOHS has elective classes that allow students to earn endorsements in STEM, Business & Industry, and Arts & Humanities. This is subject to change due to teacher availability, teacher certifications, and budget

5 Multidisciplinary Endorsement 26 credits
ENGLISH (4) English I English II English III Advanced English MATHEMATICS (4) Algebra I Geometry Advanced Math (Alg II for STEM) Advanced Math PHYSICAL EDUCATION (1) FINE ART (1) SCIENCE (4) Biology IPC or Advanced Science Advanced Science SOCIAL STUDIES (3) World History or Geography US History Government/Economics LANGUAGE OTHER THAN ENGLISH (2 ) Electives (7) 4 of 7 in endorsement area

6 Distinguished Achievement
Complete an endorsement Complete Algebra 2 Automatic Admission to Texas Public colleges must be in Top 10% and earn Distinguished Achievement

7 Performance Acknowledgements
12 or more college hours with a GPA of 3.0 or higher AP exam score of a 3 or higher Received recognition for PSAT scores by College Board SAT combined critical reading and math of 1250 or higher ACT composite score of 28 or higher

8 Things to Consider Pre AP or Regular classes
Must have a 90 average in 8th grade English, math and science Must have 8th grade English, math and science teacher approval by signing your sheet 8th grade STAAR scores will be reviewed before placement. English will have a summer reading assignment that must be completed by first day of school. Do not have to take all 3 Pre AP classes.

9 Things to Consider (con’t)
PE credit All 9th graders will be scheduled to earn their 1 credit of PE credit they must have to graduate. PE credit can be earned in 3 ways PE class for the entire 9th grade year Athletics for the year. A student must be in athletics if they play a team sport. If you want to participate in Cross Country, Tennis or golf, you do not take athletics as a class. Marching Band—You will receive ½ credit for marching band. It will take 2 marching band seasons to get your full year PE credit 504 and ARD committees These committees have input in what classes your student needs to take. I must following the schedule and recommendations set by these committees. .

10 STAAR EOC Students must pass the following EOC (end of course) exams) to graduate high school English 1 English 2 Algebra 1 Biology US History

11 College Classes Students can start taking college classes as a 9th grader. Our current dual credit college program that is a part of the school day does not start until Junior year. Students can take classes outside the school day. Lone Oak High School will accept up to 36 college hours for dual credit. These classes must be pre-approved with the high school counselor before taking the class in order for it to count in class rank, GPA and for high school credit.
