Gathered other data directly from departments
Reviewed standard configurations for computers
“Additional Allocations” have been consulted and are currently in process

1428 of PC computers with no warranty at the end of 2013
920 of those need Windows 7 license upgrade

Every computer on campus covered under warranty and running windows 7 would cost an estimated $1.7 million

7. Observations Department inventories are not kept current
Lots of old hardware not being e-wasted
Faculty have resorted to bringing in personally owned technology as they wait for updated computers and printers
Many computer carts are underutilized and not being kept up
Few personal Wi-Fi Access points

8. Moving Forward Consultations on purchases will continue as needed
CELTT will advise departments on techniques for better inventory management
E-waste process needs to be revisited, documented and marketed better to campus
Apple support process is a workload issue and needs to be addressed
