Directly appealed to American people for them to support French Revolution President Washington asked French government to recall Genet Genet instead stayed in US and became a private citizen

6 Whiskey Rebellion 1794 in Western Pennsylvania
Farmers wanted to block collection of the Whiskey Tax Washington sent in 13,000 troops Farmers offered no resistance **New federal government is stronger than state governments** **Federal laws will be followed**
