DP 1100 (Red Blend), Uco Valley, Mendoza Doña Paula 1100 comes from 3 blocks in our Los Indios Estate, which is located in Altamira, San Carlos, Uco Valley, at an altitude of 1,100 meters (3,609 feet above sea level). 60% Malbec, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Syrah Aged in 20% new French oak barrels for 14 to 16 months Floral aromas – such as violet and rosehip – typical of the Malbec variety. The Syrah contributes spicy notes, good volume in the mouth and silky tannins, whereas the Cabernet Sauvignon complements the blend with a great structure v.2015: 92pts James Suckling Selección de Bodega Malbec, Luján de Cuyo & Uco Valley, Mendoza Selección de Bodega Malbec is the result of an assemblage of our best terroirs: El Alto Estate, whose soils are mainly clayey; Alluvia Estate, which has mineral and rocky soils; and Los Indios Estate, which has calcareous and sandy soils These old vineyards are planted at between 3,445 and 4,430 ft above sea level and have a naturally low yield (between 0.81 and 1.22 t/acre) 100% Malbec, aged in first and second-use French oak barrels for 16 months Deep berries, with graphite, black cherries and spice notes.
